The Cades Cove is a 11 mile loop located in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It is open year-round, except for brief closures for snow removal during occasional winter snowstorms. It can almost be guaranteed that when you drive along the Cades Cove area you will see a number of wildlife.

How To Obtain A Fishing License
To be permitted to fish in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you must have a valid Tennessee or North Carolina fishing license. Licenses are not available in the Park, but can be purchased in Gatlinburg at City Hall, Chamber of Commerce and Ace Hardware on Hwy 321.
Non-residents 3-day permits are $10.50
A daily permit for Gatlinburg is $10.50
Combined permit for both Gatlinburg and the Park is $20.50.
Fishing is permitted year round in the Smokies from one-half hour before sunrise and one-half hour after sunset. After you obtained your permit(s) you can fish all the following rivers:
West Prong of the Little Pigeon River, LeConte Creek, Roaring Fork Creek and Dudley Creek.

HOW TO GET MARRIED IN THE SMOKIES
Couple the beautiful natural chapel of the Smoky Mountains with the relatively minor requirements for getting married and you understand why the Smokies are a favorite for a wedding and honeymoon. Couples can be joined in holy matrimony in a chapel, the National Park, or the privacy of their cottage or cabin.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
Both parties must be present to obtain the marriage license from the County Clerk's Marriage License Centers (see below). There is no waiting period and an appointment is not necessary to obtain the license. Proof of age is required by a driver's license, state-issued picture ID, a valid passport or certified birth certificate. A blood test is not required and applicants need not be residents of Sevier County to wed there. Couples may also bring a valid Tennessee marriage license from anywhere in the state of Tennessee, but remember that the license is only valid for 30 days after issue. If applicants are under the age of 18, both parents or legal guardians must sign the marriage certificate. NOTE: The license costs $36 and may be used anywhere in the state of Tennessee. The County Clerk will only take cash in the exact amount.
